While I'm still swinging on the pendulum of taking inspired action and asking "WTF is going on?", the bigger question I've been asking myself is, "What can I do to make things better?"
Then I saw artists I adore like Kelly Rae Roberts and Flora Bowley started a movement called #artistsforlove and I had to jump in on the action.
They decided to make posters that anyone can download and print.
The message is "We stand with You" and it's directed at anybody feeling scared or anxious about the current state of our nation and the uncertainties in the future.
Here's my version.
We Stand With You.
I can see these posters hanging up in schools, public places, libraries, hospitals and more. It might be the thing that shines a little light for someone who really needs it.
It's all about spreading the love and building bridges. All are available for free.
If you are wondering what you can do to add to the good vibrations in the world check out this quote:
"This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no place for despair, no time for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. This is how civilizations heal." - ~ Toni Morrison
I believe that we are all artists in our own ways.
You are an artist.
You have gifts to give.
We all have work to do.
We can heal together.
What are the gifts you came here to give?
As we move forward with more questions and some inspired actions too, I want to invite you to love yourself a little more.
Keep that love in your heart and give love to yourself as often as possible. This is our first step in healing.
You are worthy of so much love.
