This Is BIG! Please read

I'm so grateful for you, Love,

Seriously. Thank you.

Being allies in loving ourselves and spreading a little more love in the world is why I get up in the morning. Without you it would be a lonely road.

So, here's the BIG news! I'm taking this love we have and expanding it even more.

From NOW thru Tuesday, November 28th (Giving Tuesday), I'm matching every single calendar purchase with a donation to an incredible organization called IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization)!

This is huge.

It's my way of making a bigger contribution with the power of the collective!

Have you heard of IRCO?

Their mission is to promote the integration of refugees, immigrants and the community at large into a self-sufficient, healthy and inclusive multi-ethnic society.

Founded in 1976 by refugees for refugees, IRCO has over 40 years of history and experience working with Portland's refugee and immigrant communities.

Buy a calendar today and we'll send one to IRCO, where it may just be the dose of love that lifts someone up to new heights.

We will hopefully deliver hundreds of calendars to the school sites that IRCO serves, getting them in children's hands for the new year!

Make an impact now!

If you've already ordered your calendars, not to worry!
Simply share this with your peeps so we can expand the circle of LOVE in all directions. #winwin

Also, make sure you're a part of the I Stand for Love community on Facebook.
It's where lots of cool stuff is happening this time of year and you can share the love so easily there!

This time of year gets me thinking about the millions of ways we can add love to the world. It's what's needed more than anything and more than ever!

But don't get overwhelmed, k? I'm gonna break it down to a few areas and you choose whatever floats your boat!

What can we do?

We can use our hands.

Make soup for your neighbor or volunteer at a homeless shelter. Make a pie and invite someone you don't know to the table.

Make something creative to move the energy and process your emotions.

Make art with your children and talk about how loved they are.

If you have skills offer them up. Help others one little movement at a time. You will feel great and who knows what a bit of kindness can do to uplift your fellow humans.

We can use our eyes.

Simple, yet so profound... Look at people when you pass them on the street. Say "I see you" with your eye contact. "I see you" to your neighbors and your grocery store clerk.

CONNECT with your eyeballs and build bridges with your observations. Observe, learn, SEE what's going on in our world. Connect the dots. Look around and do not bury your head in the sand. Everyone craves connection. It's who we are.

We can use our ears.

LISTEN for the truth, listen for lies. Listen to your gut when something doesn't feel right. Listen to your sister. Listen to your brother, your father and mother.

Listen to your children and ask them what they need and who they are and what kind of world they want to live in.

LISTEN to people that don't look like you or worship like you or even speak the same language as you. Listen and learn.

We can use our voices.

Speak up. Speak from your heart and have courage. Use your words ;)

Write a letter. Make a video. Write your life story. Call your politicians and make your voice heard. Run for office and take up space.

Express gratitude with your words. Give voice to the unspoken feelings and buried emotions. Let your voice be a creative force in the world.

We can use our hearts.

Put your hand on your heart and feel it beating now.

That is a big deal, an important thing in and of itself.

Listen to your heart because it has wisdom.
It has needs. It needs connection.

Your heart can guide you into the next level of creating and healing. Your heart can help you process all the emotions and beliefs that you need to let go of in order to move forward. Your heart has so much wisdom.

Trust it.

We can use our dollars.

Tis the season, my dear.

We spend. We gift. We donate. But what are we really giving? Is it intentional? Where was it made and who made it? Where is our money going? What and who is it supporting?

Take the time to think about it and purchase things with heart and meaning. Make sure you gift something made with love and as easy on mother earth as possible (make sure you gift calendars)!

Challenge the old traditions that have taught us "more is better", "bigger is better" and "cheaper is better". Because we can all feel it when something is gifted with love and intention.

We need all hearts on deck to truly be the change that future generations need us to be. If not this holiday season, then when?

Let me know if I can support, encourage or hold you. I'm here and we're all in this together.

I believe in us and #Istandforlove!
